helping people with less become more

supporting projects working to alleviate poverty in Ghana

How it all started ...

Love Ghana was created in 2010 to help support a variety of projects that the Centre of Christ churches in Ghana had set up to help some of the most vulnerable people in their communities. Rather than start our own projects, we saw that this wonderful group of people already knew what was needed in their community, and that we could partner with them.

Faith and Jeannie first visited Ghana in 2007 as part of a group going from a church in Germany. On spending time with the people from the Centre of Christ churches, they saw that poverty was a continual challenge. The following three years they went back bringing others from their church, Lighthouse Central in Scotland. In 2010 Lighthouse Central formed a partnership with the Centre of Christ churches in Ghana.

In 2010 we decided to set up Love Ghana to raise funds for the humanitarian projects that the Centre of Christ are running, to help them set up new projects and to encourage volunteers to visit.
